Koreatown Youth and Community Center has job opportunities in their Environmental Services Unit. They are looking for Summer Youth Supervisors, and Environmental Stewards who would work with KYCC Environmental Services staff doing tree care and maintenance, graffiti removal and more. It is a temporary paid position, must be at least 15 yrs. old to apply, must live in L.A. City.
The At-Risk Summer Youth Environmental Steward position is an entry level, part-time temporary position. Under the direction of the Environmental Services Assistant Director and the Summer Youth Coordinator, the At-Risk Youth Environmental Steward performs outdoor, hands-on activities with KYCC’s Tree Planting and Graffiti Removal Program. Performance is reviewed on a continuous basis with specific goals and objectives identified throughout the year. Reliability and quality of work will be emphasized.
The At-Risk Summer Youth Environmental Steward shall perform day-to-day tasks, in coordination with the entire Environmental Services staff, in an effort to achieve the short and long-term goals of KYCC’s Environmental Services Unit including, but not limited to, supporting Clean Streets Initiative programs, tree maintenance, graffiti removal, and door-to-door outreach and education to community members.
