On Saturday, Oct. 29, Los Angeles Animal Services will host the first ever Playgroup Rock Stars Adoption Event at the Chesterfield Square / South L.A. Animal Shelter. This marks the largest shelter adoption event in Los Angeles during “National Adopt-a-Shelter Dog Month.” The event will focus on dogs who have participated in ongoing socialization and playgroup activities at the South L.A. shelter, made possible by Wallis Annenberg PetSpace and the California Community Foundation. The Los Angeles Chargers and Lazy Dog Restaurants will be covering adoption fees for the first 30 dog adoptions. There will be reduced fees for all additional adoptions, as well as adoption gift bags with collars, leashes, bowls and other giveaways.
