With the City’s existing street furniture contract expiring at the end of 2021, StreetsLA is developing a successor program and envisions a world-class, self-sustaining program that provides shelter, shade, safety, and comfort with furniture that supports an increased use of transit and alternative transportation, local economic activity and the shared use of City sidewalks.
The Sidewalk and Transit Amenities Program (STAP) will replace and expand upon the existing program and is expected to follow the traditional business model in which furniture costs are supported by advertising. On November 24, 2020, the Board of Public Works to release the STAP Request for Proposals (RFP). (At the link, see these attachments: BSS1 is the Board Report; BSS 1 TR3 is the RFP.) The STAP RFP is now live on LABAVN, ID # 41186.
Please join us in a Neighborhood Council-dedicated Information Session (open to the public) via Zoom where you will have the opportunity to engage with the StreetsLA RFP team to share your vision for a world class program and ask your questions about the STAP program and the RFP process.
