County Health is working hard to provide Homeless Services in our area through local office hours with housing placement, transportation to accelerate paperwork processing to get into housing, a resource guide and safe parking program for families.

At our August 8, 2017 Homeless Committee, we heard a presentation from Takita Salisberry, of Los Angeles County Health Service Planning Area 6, on resources available to the homeless in our area. She reported that they have office hours weekly on Wednesdays and Thursdays 8:30am to noon at Councilmember Marqueece Harris-Dawson’s Field Office, 8475 S. Vermont Ave. They provide assistance with:

  • Housing Placement
  • Medical Services
  • Case Management Services
