The At-Risk Summer Youth Environmental Steward position is an entry level, part-time temporary position. Under the direction of the Environmental Services Assistant Director and the Summer Youth Coordinator, the At-Risk Youth Environmental Steward performs outdoor, hands-on activities with KYCC’s Tree Planting and Graffiti Removal Program. Performance is reviewed on a continuous basis with specific goals and objectives identified throughout the year. Reliability and quality of work will be emphasized.
The At-Risk Summer Youth Environmental Steward shall perform day-to-day tasks, in coordination with the entire Environmental Services staff, in an effort to achieve the short and long-term goals of KYCC’s Environmental Services Unit including, but not limited to, supporting Clean Streets Initiative programs, tree maintenance, graffiti removal, and door-to-door outreach and education to community members.
